The Role
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Electronics Department. In this role, you willmaintain, repair and calibrate specialist equipment used in the manufacturing and testing of high-power semiconductor devices. The position requires strong analog and high-voltage fault-finding expertise, with the ability to diagnose faults down to component level across legacy and bespoke systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and optimise semiconductor test equipment
Diagnose and repair faults to component level on high-voltage, analog, digital and microprocessor-based systems
Work with bespoke and legacy analog test platforms
Read and interpret complex circuit schematic drawings
Measure high voltage and current safely and accurately
Apply calibration principles in day-to-day maintenance tasks
Use oscilloscopes, current/voltage probes and other diagnostic equipment
Support pneumatic and hydraulic systems where required
Work in full compliance with Health & Safety standards and risk assessments
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team
About You
Completed apprenticeship in electronic engineering or similar discipline
Strong component-level fault-finding ability
Experience maintaining electronic test equipment
Confidence working with high-voltage systems
Strong understanding of schematic diagrams
Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing demands
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable: Higher Education Certificate or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
Desirable: Experience within semiconductor or power electronics manufacturing environments
