The role would suit applicants who are proficient in SolidWorks, have experience producing detailed engineering drawings, and enjoy collaborating on innovative design projects. Applicants with a degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering will have an advantage, though hands-on experience and practical know-how are equally valued. Candidates with experience in P&IDs, layout plans, and 3D plant design are encouraged to apply.

Working as part of our innovative design team, you will be responsible for turning concepts into fully realised, high-quality designs that meet client specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused designer to develop their skills in a supportive, high-growth business.

The Role:

  • Create detailed P&IDs, layout plans, and general arrangement drawings using SolidWorks.

  • Develop and maintain a 3D library of standard plant items.

  • Collaborate with project engineers and clients to ensure designs meet requirements.

  • Support quality control and validation of manufactured systems.

  • Work across projects to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and meet high standards.

The Person:

  • Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred, but not essential.

  • Proficient in SolidWorks, with working knowledge of MS AutoCAD Lite (or similar CAD packages).

  • Experience in mechanical design.

  • Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to continuously learn.
