Some employers may offer lower-level positions to candidates with a foundation degree in applied sciences.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n As previously mentioned, working to become a chartered engineer can have substantial advantages for salary. To gain chartered status, a chemical engineer will need to have studied at master\u2019s level. This means completing a four-year, accredited MEng or BEng followed by further learning equating to a master\u2019s qualification. However, there will always be instances in which extra hours are required.
